Balayage in Fitzroy North

Balayage is colour painted on by hand, not woven into foils. It gives soft, sun-lit brightness that melts into your natural root, so it grows out gently and you can leave longer between visits.
Who it's for
- You want brightness without a hard regrowth line
- You'd rather come in every few months than every six weeks
- You want a lived-in blonde, bronde or caramel, not an all-over lighter colour
What happens
- We talk through what you want, your colour history and how often you want to come in.
- Luke hand-paints the lightener where the light would naturally hit.
- A gloss toner sets your exact shade and adds shine.
- We finish with a blow-dry so you see the real result.
How long
About 3 hours for a half head, and about 4 hours for a full head, including toner and blow-dry. Your booking shows the exact time before you confirm.
"Luke really knows his craft when it comes to blonde hair. My hair came out beautifully soft, with zero brassiness exactly what I was hoping for!"

Balayage questions
Balayage or foils?
Balayage grows out softer and suits clients who want longer between visits. Foils give a brighter, more even blonde from the root (see blonde highlights & foils). Not sure? Book a free 15-minute consultation.
How often will I need to come back?
Most balayage clients come back every few months, with a gloss in between to refresh the tone.
